What are my success rates if I were to apply for Permanent Residency now?

Our success rate, from previous year till today, has been maintaining at around 65% to 70%. We are not going to tell you that we have a 85% to 99% rate as that would be counted as inappropriate conduct of business and misrepresentation. We firmly believe in our values and principles.

Ultimately, it all boils down on your profile strength - how we can showcase your strengths and factors that are within our control

Why did my application get rejected?

It is common knowledge that ICA doesn't give us the reason of the rejection. There are quotas for each industry and ethnicity -  as referred from the yearly "Population In Brief" report, there are certain ratios that Singapore target to achieve and maintain.

At The Ark, we prepare our client's profile based on the future development of Singapore's economy and and social factors so that you can be fully prepared for submission day and stand out from the rest of your competitors.

Why is it harder to get Permanent Residency Status these days?

In the year 2008 and 2009, the amount of PR approval was 78,019 and 59,460 respectively. Since then, Singaporean's employment concerns kicked in and the government tighten its PR approval criteria in the following year to 29,265 and has been maintaining at that 30,000 range since then.

The reason behind all these was to supply enough job opportunities for Singaporeans and at the same time making sure that salaries and distribution of skills remain competitive across all industries.

It still comes down to your own merit and the willingness to improve your profile to stand out from your peers.

What kind of supporting documents should I submit?

Supporting documents like Letter of Recommendation, Financial Report, Donations/Charity certificates, and etc. are all best to be prepared in your deck when you are submitting the application. But do note that not all of the supporting documents need to be submitted as it may back fire your application.

At The Ark, we give professional advice to our clients on what is required for their profile and documents that thoroughly showcases your profile strength.

Is having a good financial portfolio important?

Before submitting your application, there is a financial declaration form that you would need to sign which is to disclose all of your financial information to the ICA inclusive of all your assets, income and other related information.

Having a good financial standing or integration will showcase your interest and capability to stay in Singapore despite the high cost of living and high cost of retirement.
